What Do You Work For? – Money, Freedom, Success or Fun

Ask Yourself these 5 questions about your job

1) What do you work for every day when you wake up in the morning?

2) What are you trying to achieve in life?

3) Are you planning for the future or just tomorrow? 4) Do you still want to be doing exactly what you are doing today? 5) Where do you see yourself in 2 years?  5 years? 10 years? Ask yourself these 5 tough questions, be honest with your answers.  People plan for the future and make sure they save enough for when they get to their golden years to finally get Freedom. Working 5 days a week or more can be tiring and no fun at all.

Life As We Know It!

Most people are taught that if you want things in life you have to work hard for it. Right?  Unless you are born into a wealthy family, in that case, you are probably not reading this blog. lol  But, have you ever stopped and asked yourself what are you really working for? Dolly Parton “9 to 5”

Workin’ 9 to 5, what a way to make a livin’ Barely gettin’ by, it’s all takin’ and no givin’ by Dolly Parton

I’ve worked my whole life Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or even 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The hours I worked and then the time it took to travel back and forward it ended up becoming a 10 or more day.  I couldn’t wait for the weekend I got 2 days off of Freedom to do whatever I wanted to do. Enjoy Life!

Yes, we all need money to survive and have a roof over our head and food on the table.  I need that also because I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth.  lol

At the early age of 15, I got my first simple job bagging groceries at the local store.  As I got older I got more experience and learned different skills.  I’ve had several jobs over the years some which were fun and some not so fun.  We are taught in the world that you need to find a job that pays very well so you can pay for all your needs in life.

There was one thing that I am missing when I work a 9 to 5 job. Do you know what that is?

Children Learn to Walk for Freedom

When we are children we want to learn how to walk and talk. Why? Because we want to roam around freely and see what’s around us?  Our parents teach us to get our balance and start moving our feet to move forward. Then they teach us words and we end up learning how to talk.  We want to voice our thoughts and feeling. Once we learn how to walk and talk it became a Habit every day. As we did it more often we got better at it.  As a child, we learn Habits to give us the fullest life we can possibly at a young age. We get the Freedom at such a young age.

Teenagers Learn to Drive for Freedom

Oh the Teenage years!  When we are teenagers we are learning so much and picking up many different Habits good and bad.  One of the first things teenagers want to do is learn how to drive. Teenagers are looking for Freedom to go places without their parents. (if allowed of course) lol I know I did as soon as I turned 16 the legal age in my state to get my driver’s license.  I study the book and worked hard until I passed the test.  Wahoo excitement on that day was big for me. Bon Jovi “It’s My Life”

It’s my life It’s now or never I ain’t gonna live forever I just want to live while I’m alive by Bon Jovi

Also as a teenager, it’s when we start feeling like “It’s My Life” and you can do whatever we want.   I started working at a local store like I mentioned earlier, it really opened my eyes to the working world.  I started earning my own money and having the Freedom to buy what I wanted.

Seniors Wait for Retirement for Freedom

Retirement Years after the age of 50.  As we get older we look forward to retiring so we can have the Freedom to do what we want.  Yes, retirement age is 65 to 72 but even in your 50’s, you start thinking about what you will do when you can retire. You are getting so close to quit working and finally get the Freedom you have been hoping for.  Even in your golden years, you will still need money, so what can you do now for the future.  This is usually the years you start really looking at yourself in the mirror and try to figure life out, where did life go? Moral of the Story

Through out our life what are we looking for? FREEDOM What do we learn through out our lives?  HABITS So, When I ask “What Are You Working For”?  The answer is out of Habit and Freedom should be the answer. Did you know that you can change your Habits at any time of your life?  Some Habits are good and some are bad. We all learn good Habits of brushing our teeth, eating meals, washing our clothes, exercising, they are all Habits. All it takes is changing one Habit to change your life forever.  The Habit I am talking about is the way you work and still have the Freedom you are looking for.  You can say goodbye to your 9 to 5 job and say hello to a new career of making money online full time.
